The Polar Express ready-to-play trein van Lionel is een complete trein set en werkt op 6 stuks C- batterijen ( niet inbegrepen). De trein bestaat uit een locomotief met een werkende koplamp en cabineverlichting en 3 positie schakelaar, een steenkool tender, twee passagierswagons, 24 gebogen rails, 8 rechtte rails en 1 water dispenser. De trein maakt verschillende geluiden zoals het gesis van stoom, fluiten en een ringende bel. Verder speelt de trein geluidsfragmenten af van de film The Polar Express zoals “All aboard, this is the Polar Express”. Met behulp van de waterdispenser kan water worden toegevoegd aan de locomotief. Hierdoor heeft de locomotief een stoom effect met flikkerend LED licht. De trein kan bediend worden met behulp van Bluetooth en het gebruik van de Lionel Cab3 app. De leeftijdsindicatie is 4+, de trein wordt aanbevolen voor volwassenen.. De rails passen op een ruimte van 186 x 127 cm.
