Meater Pro heeft meer sensoren in de probe waarmee het de kern temperatuur van het vlees meet met nog meer nauwkeurigheid, de meater pro kan omgaan met hogere temperaturen aan de binnen- en buitenkant van het vlees, je kunt er dus zelfs direct mee grillen. De probe is ook dunner, dus je kunt de Meater gebruiken in dunnere stukken vlees en laat het een minder grote opening achter in het vlees.

De dikte van de probe is voor vele een grote factor, vooral omdat je niet altijd enorme grote stukken vlees gaat bereiden.
