This intense rub, with authentic American herbs and spices, has been specially developed for making Pulled Pork on the barbecue or in the oven. The paprika, onion, and chili give the rub its smoky aroma, while the dark brown sugar ensures a beautifully caramelized exterior.

Usage

Generously sprinkle the herb and spice mix over a large piece of pork. Preferably pork neck or shoulder (1.5-2kg). Let it marinate for a few hours or overnight. Place the meat in the oven or lay it on the barbecue at a low temperature (110°C). Close the lid and grill slowly until the core temperature reaches about 70°C. Wrap the meat in aluminum foil and grill for a few more hours until the meat reaches a core temperature of 90-93°C (total cooking time 4-5 hours). Pull the meat off the bone with a fork and enjoy!
